California Road Trip

I attended a wedding of a dear friend at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. The wedding was cozy and lovely (and hoppy). The weather was dreadful. The drive back was lovely and scenic. Maybe it's my roots as an island girl, but driving long distances is pretty amazing.

Harvest Season in Wine Country

 

Emu-licious.

I love living a short ways away from wine country. Wine is yummy of course but the scenery is even more delicious. We hit up a new place and became acquainted with a few emus. I think of them as Dinosaur Birds. Those claws, those thighs, those prehistoric faces. I fed this friend wild strawberries.

Tasty! Grapes are so multifaceted...wine, juice boxes, PBJs, grapeskin extract, grapeseed oil....and:

Raisins. California raisins, in fact.
