Views from the Stoop

Like a stealthy menehune, this tortoise-riding dwarf
rides among the parsley in my windowbox..

I look for the many different shades that
bounce off the rooftops
depending on the season and the hour.

Aren't they succulent?

Homegrown Meyer lemons,
fresh from recent rain,
are a perfectly tart
crossbreed between mandarins and lemons.

Ooh, nice lookin' lemons. Guess all that rain is good for something.

You should whip up some lemon squares or something else divine.
